KRONOS 2190 and KRONOS 2310 free of TMP- and TME (Type 3752) are the first in a series of reinvented TiO2 pigments addressing emerging product stewardship aspects without affecting the optical and physical performance of the pigment in coatings systems.
The new KRONOS TMP- and TME-free grades exhibit similar performance to the TMP-version in waterborne, solvent-based and powder coatings and are already successfully used by our coatings customers.
Achieving the ecolabel requirements in Europe
KRONOS developed trimethylolpropane (TMP)-free alternatives of these successful pigment grades to address a recent regulatory self-classification of TMP by its manufacturer, even though our original coating grades contain an amount of TMP below regulatory thresholds.
